Built From Nothing.
Ex Nihilo Electric was founded on a simple idea: electrical work done right, every time, no exceptions.
Our Story
Started With Two Trucks and a License
Ex Nihilo Electric was founded by Stephen Shaber and Jay Anderson — two journeymen who walked away from an established electrical firm to do things their own way. The name says it all: built from nothing, with no shortcuts and no compromises.
What began as a two-man residential operation in Ballard has grown into a full-service electrical contractor serving homeowners, general contractors, and commercial property managers across the Greater Seattle area.
We've stayed intentionally lean. Every project gets a licensed journeyman or master electrician on site — not an apprentice working unsupervised. That's not how we operate.
